Rosie Canham
Piano Teacher
Peripatetic - Schools Only
Rosie began learning piano at the age of 9 and through classical training achieved merits and distinctions throughout the grades. She also enjoys playing a range of recorders from sopranino, descant, treble and tenor. Rosie particularly likes Einaudi and older composers such as Debussy but loves to play contemporary music too.
As a mum of six and with a 20 year career working with Early Years/school age children and swim teaching, Rosie has a unique understanding of how children learn in a variety of ways, and uses the depth of this experience to guide each student to reach their full potential in a way that best suits the individual. She has taught piano privately for over 15 years and has helped many children (and some adults) to achieve their goals, whether this was performing their favourite song or gaining a grade certificate. Above all else, Rosie believes music is there for all to enjoy and her lessons are fun, creative and inspiring.
