Peripatetic Teachers - Watford/Leavesden

 

Music school Rhythm Room seeks passionate, enthusiastic instrument teachers to join our team and teach at a two primary schools in the Watford and Leavesden areas
 

These are new schools to us with approximately one hours worth of work at each school, the successful applicant will be willing to come in to the school and perform inspiring assemblies with the rest of the team to generate interest in their lessons.
 

The ideal applicant is someone fairly local and able to easily commute to Watford and Leavesden, with a good work ethic and is someone that works well in a team environment. The ability to teach multiple instruments and singing will be an advantage as there will be more potential students.

Private Lessons - Bletchley, Milton Keynes
 

Music school Rhythm Room seeks passionate, enthusiastic instrument teachers to join our team and teach at our private music school in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, starting January for £20 per hour. The company has just made an exciting expansion into another building and gained three more teaching rooms, creating a great new opportunity for instrument teachers of all kinds.
 

Instruments we currently teach are drums, piano, guitar, bass guitar and vocals, we will need more of these teachers, however due to the expansion we now have space for multi-instrumentalists to increase the instrument types taught, we are interested in candidates able to teach one or more of the following instruments in addition to the standard 'rock' instruments:
 

Violin, Cello, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxaphone, Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Double Bass.
 

The teaching days/times are flexible and up to the applicant, however they will be based upon student availability so likely to be mostly afternoons and evenings midweek and all day weekends up to a limit of 15 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an excellent instrument teacher, with experience of teaching and performing; 

  • Be able to read music and teach music theory, (experience with the Rock School and Trinity grading systems is a bonus);

  • Live fairly local to Bletchley and able to easily commute to our site;

  • Have a good work ethic;

  • Work well in a team environment;

  • Be willing to offer free taster lessons as part of our arrangement with Groupon;

  • Have a valid DBS certificate – or be willing to undergo a new application;

  • Have Child Protection training or be willing to take a short course.
