Gabriela is an award-winning British-Czech concert violinist, violist and mentor. A Member of The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain, she was the first Czech finalist in the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in 1987. She has performed with world-class orchestras across Europe, the UK, the USA, South America and Japan, and is the founder of two acclaimed masterclass series in the Czech Republic and Shropshire.
Gabriela has been teaching since the age of eighteen and works with violin, viola and piano students of all ages from Grade 1 through to Grade 8 and beyond. She is experienced with Suzuki, Kodály, Ševčík and Libálová methods, and teaches to ABRSM, Trinity College, and the Oxford Syllabus and Examination systems. Her musical interests span baroque to jazz to contemporary film music, and she brings that breadth into every lesson.
Her particular passion is tailoring teaching to each individual student helping them overcome technical challenges, manage exam stress, and work through the mental blocks that can make playing feel daunting. She draws on decades of performing at the highest professional level to help her students find real confidence and joy in their music.
